certificate errors everywhere

I hooked up a wifi router at a hotel through thier ethernet port. I now get certificate errors on most pages. Most load just some of the content. Heres the strange part. This problem is on both my laptops. It is on multiple browsers. It is on any network I connect to. When my friend connects his laptop to my network it works fine. Every attempt to isolate the problem to a particular website, pc, browser, or network has failed. I dont know what to think other than when I connected my laptops to this network it broke them and left them broke. Any help is appreciated.

What Windows version and Service Pack do you have, plus what version browsers and is both Windows and Browsers fully upto date?

Seems a weird thing to suggest but check your Laptops (both) clock time and is it correct, reason for suggesting this is I do not know if you have travelled to a different time zone and then when home the clock has not sync'd back to normal for your area.

Reset your IE version (I know there are issues you mention with other browsers as well) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737/en-gb

and try again and this time open IE via right clicking its icon and choose Run as Administrator if you are on Vista or above, and then open a webpage that gives you certificate errors and then on the error click Continue to the website (not recommended) if that shows and then click the Certificate Error button and View Certificate and choose Install Certificate. Close and open IE normally and check.
