For a while, I tried changing the appearance of my windows XP. Well when I returned the settings to the original, my mp3 file icons didn't change back. They look like the audio file icons of Win. 95 or something. I want to change them back to the Win. Media player icon. I could uninstall and re-install the player, but I am wondering if there is another way?

I know there is a way to directly change the icon, but I cannot remeber it right now.

There is another way (probably not the best way).
You right-click the file >>open with>> choose the correct program
remeber to click the check box on the very bottom saying "always use the selected program...."

I have reinstalled Windows Media Player 10, and it fixed my icon issue. I just didn't like those other icons :0
