Change names on all folders, documents and users?

I have my real name listed all over this computer and I have begun to think of this as a security threat. I would not like to upload a HijackThis log with my real name in it. A log contains a lot of other information about a person as well. How can I change the names on all folders, documents and users? I know how to change the usernames via the control panel but documents, images and folders still have my real name. Like this: C:\Documents and settings\MyRealName\documents\note. I guess it is about changing the authors name. And remove all other traces in my pc. All kind of suggestions will be highly appreciated. :)

Oh well, I didn't anticipate that the question could be this hard to answer?

Precisely, Colemanguy. Right now all my documents, images etc. have file names like this: C:\Documents and settings\MyRealName\documents\note

That needs to be changed. My new name could be "Username" or "Anonymous" or something. Like this:

    C:\Documents and settings\Username\documents\note

In the future I don't want my real name in my pc. At all - almost. It will be sitting in a few emails and so. But apart from that: no personal identification.

But I need to learn how to change my real name on my old documents into just "Username".

Cordialis, the situation you describe is well known. When you change a username via control panel it does not stick except in the login screen/start menu. I have yet to find an answer on how to fix it by simply renaming the Documents and Settings/username folder or such.

Plodr's method will work (and he did read the whole post, you do not want your name anywhere on your computer not just off of a particular document). Create a new user and copy the contents of the folder as described in the article. This will give you everything except email. Test the new desktop to make sure all the settings are the same and shortcuts work. Import your email settings and then delete the old profile once you are sure everything is working. It really is not as much trouble as it sounds.
