Change where downloaded files end up. Please help

When i download any file to my desktop. Windows automaticly puts it in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Right now i have my sysmetrix setup up on the right side, and when i DL files they are covered by the display. I dont want to move the display so is there a way i can windows put the downloaded files on the right side of the screen?

I don't think you can change where it puts the download on your desktop.

However, you can change what folder it puts it in. I simply create a folder in D:/ and call it Downloads. I have a shortcut to that folder on my desktop.

Depends on what browser you're using to change the download location.

 

As a workaround you could always set your icons to arrange automatically.

 

I know how to arrange my icons, but how do i have them do it automatically? That seems like it would work best for me.

You are gonna kick yourself when you see this. The menu is available by right click on your desktop. It might have adverse efects on sysmetrix positioning though.

Well im not kicking my self, but i think smashing my head against a wall works just as well.
