As a few of you may have noticed that there's no -bigadv units coming down anymore. My last one finished on the 4th Nov. They are going to push those to a minimum 16 cored machines now which I will never buy, ever! This won't hurt teams who have mostly generic PC folders but it will hit the teams with a few members who have powerful desktops hard, like mine.:cry Anyways, just a heads up.;)

Now I have no other incentive to upgrade to a LGA 2011 SB-E unless one of my machines blows up first. Perhaps it's time to OC my 930 to the edge. Give it all she's got Scotty!:-D

    Well crap.:(
I especially don't like this quote - In particular, as hardware evolves, it is expected that we will need to change the nature of the BA WUs again in the future.

It looks like Pande Group will keep the -bigadv work a lot closer to the "bleeding edge" from now on. That could get seriously into your wallet. (It surely won't be mine, at least at the present time.)

I absolutely agree! I also won't be going there as I like to eat above folding!:-D

Ya, I guess too many folks got on the 2600K bandwagon. As long as the science is there eh?;) I don't mind the change.

LOL no, dedicated Ubuntu machine with a TPF of 2:10 mins. on a 7156 WU. I can't seem to get HFM working again but between both my machines lost some 15K to 20K PPD. I just added my GTX 470 AND GTX260 since it's gotten cool now and I'm back to where I was at 65K or so with just -bigadv.

TPF of 2:10? thats almost better than my GPU WU's at 1:50 lol

My CPU TPF is a measly 9 minutes, but that may change soon since I just got my new Asus P541T-LX motherboard with better voltage options than my P.O.S OEM Asus motherboard :)
