Changing Desktop Computer

I'm about to get a new desktop computer. How do I save things from my document, and photo files from the old computer? I need to be able to put them on my new desktop computer, but not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not very computer savvy so, the simpler the explanation, the better.

 

you can save documents and photos to a usb memory stick from the old computer and plug it in to the new computer and transfer them on to the new computer or you can keep them on the memory stick it's entirely your decision.

BTW, it may be easiest to, on the old computer, right-click the folders containing your files, point to SendTo then click the icon on the bottom of the menu stating the flash drive's name.

 

You can also use "migration software" to move all your data and applications to a new Windows install.
