Changing format from .doc to .gif or.tif

    I have a color map that I need to transfer to a tif or gif so I can put it on a web site; it has to be in a format for picture.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi

    Ron, just a quick thought, open the page full size on the Word doc, then hit PrtScn (Print Screen) then paste that into MS Paint (crop any areas out you dont need) and save as a gif or tif.

    I don't have Paint - any other program I could use?

    If you have Windows you have MS Paint?! its a standard app, but the above mentioned Ifanview is great.

    I solved by "insight" which is defined as "a sudden glimpse of the obvious". The scanner we use will scan in pdf, or, wait for it, tiff. I just had not known that until I played around with the scanner and discovered it.
