Changing Office Background Colour - No Longer Possible With W10?

I've always changed the background colour in Windows so that Excel and Word have a pale blue background, which is much nicer on the eyes than the standard harsh white. This has been possible for years.
I've just bought a new laptop and right clicking to 'Personalise' W10 display settings there is now no place to do this. I've Googled in vain for a solution but others seem to have come across a dead end as well.

Does anyone know of a way to do this?

    Many thanks.

There's no option in Windows under Personalize to change the background of Word or Excel.
Any changes must be done in Word or Excel.

Google offers options in all the versions of Word and Excel.
As Eldon suggests it's nothing to do with Windows 10.

Such a shame. I think it was abolished in W10 or possibly W7. There used to be an 'Advanced' personalisation where could amend all sorts of colours in the windows screen (background, title bar, scroll bar, etc) but I guess it was removed to reduce users' exposure to such things. I always used to change the white to a pale blue or yellow and that would then be the default 'paper' colour for Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Actually, I still have my own choice of colours on this desktop, because it's a few years old and they must now be stuck like that even though I'm now on W10. I was querying it because I just bought a new laptop and can't change anything.

NB: I use Office 2007. Maybe newer additions have this ability.

In Windows XP there's such an option, but only if you select the Classic theme.

I also use MS Office 2007. Your only option is to change the Colour scheme - Blue, Black or Silver.
In Word, why don't you change the Page colour?

    Hi, thanks.
I'm going to do it by using templates. I just have to remember when starting a new Excel or Word document to load the template and not a blank 'New' document.

    Change the Normal.dotm template.
