when I go to save files, I always have to change where I want to save the file to.
I save a picture and want to save it to my desktop, but the default is put in the picture folder
    I have windows XP
can somone tell me how to change this? so the default is where I want to save the file, not always the desktop.
I know if I save a picture and change the destination, then for that period, the default is the new destination I choose, but it's annoying to always have to change it.
    thanks

I assume this is saving through a browser. What browser and version of browser?

Sorry, google it was. But from all my years of searching, I guess I have learned how to refine my searches so I get rid of pages of items I'm not interested in. By the way, I'm a gal, LOL. (I know it's impossible to tell from my nym).
