I was going through the steps in Chaslang's READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal. I was doing Step 5: Uninstall Known Malware and Unwanted Software when I came across one that’s not on the list of malware.

The "Chargeyourprofit" part of the name was the giveaway. I uninstalled it. It gave some dire warning about "IE may no longer run the same after you remove this program". The warning proved to be true because I no longer have the annoying pop-up. It even made me do one of those registration steps where you type in the word you see to prove you're not a bot or anything.

It seemed a bit superfluous to make a whole post in reference to just one malware program, but I cannot PM Chaslang since I’m new to the forum. Perhaps a moderator could just see to it that the removal list gets updated and just delete this post to keep the forum neat and clean.

Many times, adware and/or malware come in bunches. Where theres one there are often others that aren't so easily seen/found/removed.
