I know this has been mentioned before but I wanted to thank "chaslang" for all the hard work and apparantly dedication to spyware problems. I have been following the spyware threads for a couple of months now, trying to learn as much as I can.

The posts and hijack logs just keep coming, from the novice to the most experienced user, and all, even if it takes days, have a clean system again.
Spyware and viruses will just keep coming and so will the posts and hijack logs. I know that all of us contribute in some way, but I want to personally thank chaslang for this enormous undertaking, which is already a vital contribution and service to this message board and will only become more in demand in the future.

I'm gonna chuck in my appreciation too. i haven't posted a hijack log (yet) but its good to know such knowledgeable help exists. id like to add my appreciation to ALL the geeks on this site that have made my dealings with my puter so much less traumatic, and so much safer than i would have been without them. good on you all. much aloha

YEAH, chaslang, you've helped me a lot, too.

(extra question: OK, how do people know when, who are the "mods"? Was this just posted here and so now "we" know or is it somewhere else? end of extra question)

Anyway, keep sharing all that knowledge with the rest of us -- makes us feel "special"

 

I had a major spyware attack a few months ago and it gave me alot of anxiety... Luckily, with Chaselang's (Alanc's as well) advice i was able to resolve it and clean my system up... I often read the Spyware forum to get an idea of what kind of Spyware problems are circulating the web and I see Chaselang helping as many people as he can.... Wish there was a way that more of us could help out in that forum i just lack the know-how... Anywho, thanks Chase....
