Cheap Airline Tickets Where?

Hey guys,

I am buying tickets to go to Oklahoma today and wanted to know where the cheapest place online that you have found is?

 

we got ours from cheapfares.com (from Wichita KS to Myrtle Beach, and back), for 220 a ticket. we did have to go through the security checkpoint where they check your bags and make you take off your shoes.

i dont know if its more expensive to fly into oklahoma, but to fly out, we would have paid almost $500 a ticket. so, see how much it costs to fly into wichita or dfw.

 

It may sound weird, but everytime I've needed to fly I get the best prices directly from the airline's website.

 

Same here. I'll normally uses Expedia and other bargain sites to see who's cheapest, then check the airline themselves. Same flight is usually a little cheaper yet. All those sites make a commission.

 

Just don't pick the Mena Arkansas airport.

Or even better pricing by calling the airline directly on the telephone and mentioning somewhere in there that I don't use e-tickets because they take jobs away from airline workers.

I flew a loop (over 2 1/2 weeks, not all at once) from Grand Rapids, MI - Chicago - Denver - Reno, NV - Los Angeles - Chicago - Grand Rapids, MI...for exactly $123 more than the best fare I could find online for a straight round-trip to and from Reno.

 

dont talk to me about airfares !!! ALL my 'spare' money, ALL my daughters money (inc her student grant) goes on airfares to and from t'other side. i saved $1000 dollers to send jacob to england this year and then couldnt do it coz the airlines changed their rules about unaccompanied minors after 911. they can fly interstate, but not international. now someone tell me the differance between flying over the pacific, and flying over the atlantic !! now ive gotta save another $1000 so next year i can go with him. bah humbug. aloha

 

only in oklahoma do they name an airport after a guy who died in a plane crash (same accident that killed Will Rogers)...Wiley Post in OKC.

 

And then you arrive at the terminal. Have a nice trip!!

 

What's their logic behind that decision? None of the hijackers were unaccompanied minors.

Nowhere is it written that rules and regulations shall be logical. Only that they must be obeyed.

that makes sense. the sad thing is there are freakoids out there who would try to do something like that....similar to smuggling drugs in a baby's diaper.....

 

wait till 2-3 am, that's when the Database refreshes, and you'll find cheaper fares because the system just got flooded with them. Saw that on cnn one morning or something.
