hey guys, I need a little help. Whenever I boot my computer up it automaticaly goes through check disk. I dont know why, I never set that up. But it was fine until yesterday. I got an error saying that ~ef7194.tmp was currupt and to run check dsk. I did and noticed that on stage 2, when it is checking the indexes it encounters an error at about 73%. It is also saying that C:\$Mft is also currupt and to fix that. I'm at a complete loss as to what I ned to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Back your computer up... now. Just in case. Random errors can be a sign that your hard drive is dying. Your hard drive should have diagnostic tools, if not you can download them from the hard drive manufacturer. We have many listed here, but need to know what hard drive you have if your unsure how to proceed.
