    Hi guys,

I'm looking for help and abri suggested that I should start a new thread here. I had a malware infection which chaslang has pretty much sorted out for me (thanks chaslang) - but I'm still getting a message on startup saying

    "Check your computer security
The Security Centre service is not running.
Click this notification to fix the problem."

I click the box, and a new window opens telling me the Security Centre service is turned off.

I click 'turn it on now' and I simply get a new message 'The security Centre can't be started'.

    Have a look at
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=141516&goto=newpost

which is where I've been getting my help from chaslang - then you can see where we've been already with this one!

Apart from this message on startup, the computer does seem to be working OK now... but it worries me that I may not be getting the protection I need.

Any help most gratefully received - please!

    Simonm
