Chime Sound Repeatedly When On Gimplearn.netthe Window

My laptop computer is a Windows 10 64 bit. I use forums on the net to learn Gimp. Have used Gimp Learn Forum for about 4 years without problems. For about 1 week as I type or move the mouse over the page, a chime sound alarms. It is random, not any specific letter or character noted. Though it was a forum problem as not happen on any other forum or web site. Contacted forum owner who knows of nothing in the forum that would that. I checked through every setting that a user could change but nothing has to do with sound. I went through the Windows sounds and turned off any chime sounds but did not help. No one else has reported this problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

 

Thank you for responding. I apologize for late response on my part as I do not have much Gimp time currently.
I did as you suggested and switched from Internet Explorer (which I have used for many years) to Microsoft Edge. The repeated chime is now gone! I switched back and forth a few more times to make sure it was really working correctly and it does. What does the browser have to do with it anyway? Thanks again for your help.
