    how to tell if the mainboard is intel based or not.what are chipsets that are intel based?

    They just tell you on the box. Usually in pretty big letters too. Or if you're wondering how to tell from just the number like PM800 or something like that. Then the answer is, you don't. Although in that case you'd just use google and bring up the specs on it. It's fairly easy to do. Either that or you just know.

    Most of the time there is only 5 or so boards that most people talk about or consider buying, so if you follow it you just learn the numbers and know because of it.
