Reported violent crime rate, people are much more willing to report incidents to the police in the UK especially by third party witnesses, in major metropolitan areas of the US where gangs ect. are prevalent I doubt much of it gets reported. We also have the highest number of CCTV camera's per area in the world and most violent crime is done by drunk people fighting in the street which is always caught on camera these days.

These are the major factors I would argue affect violent crime rates, nothing to do with guns.

I don't buy violent crime has anything to do with guns one way or the other.

Since Piers replaced Larry King as CNN's evening talk show host about two years ago, their ratings have tanked - they're now trailing both CNBC and FOX News in the cable/satellite ratings in the States.

CNN just hired a new head of programming. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Piers gets kicked to the curb in the next few months.

Over 100.000 people sent a petition to the White House to deport Piers Morgan after he declared openly that he was against the weapons used in the recently mass shootings and something should be done such as prohibiting these AK -15 or whatever they're called and limiting the amount of bullets people can purchase. He is not against the second amendment. He held for some time quite some lively conversations with pro's and con's in his time slot. Yep he was feisty.

I wonder what deeds would qualify as violent crime as they could be different in other countries? Do both countries match the criteria to be be considered as violent crimes or are they different?

In any case, since England has so few murders (around 35 yearly perhaps) compared to the USA close to 12 thousand I take it your restrictions on weapons are far, far stricter than in the USA.
