Santa told me other day that I'm getting a 26 or 27" TV monitor - since I've been squinting to see my 18+ LCD flat-screen.

    Can't wait.

Don't know what I am getting from the wife, but I just got her present in yesterday.

I got her an iPod Nano 4 Gb. She likes gadgets like that, and if she doesn't, I am sure that I can find a use for it :D :D

But, you see, I am 65, old and retired, and my vision gets worse daily. I NEED larger print and when I game, I will be able to see you easier to frag you quicker.

All those years I had to squint looking deep down into that speculum to see the cervix properly, etc., RUINED my eyesight. Hell, it's all I can do now to be able to properly line up a putt.

Very good thinking there ;) Bet I'd frag you first though Hehe

No bet.............that'd be a sucker bet. When I used to frag with (mostly be fragged BY) Kodo and his bunch.........I was also known fondly as "The Slow-Movin' Target" or "Mr. Fraggable". Oh, well, It was still fun.

I expect to get the usual lump of coal in my stocking. :D

But I get to fly out to be with my folks the week before Christmas, and will get to spend a week sharing Christmas with them, which is the best present possible.

Well that's an infinitely greater gift than I will ever receive. Enjoy while you can, as I'm sure you will.

Evan a lump of coal wouldn’t do me much good here, a.t.m., since it's mid summer an' all.

Hopefully, a new phone, as I've been using 2nd and 3rd hand ones for a few years now.... My own phone, with no faults at all, it's a dream come true!!!

Well, I'll not send you my lump then. :D

Yeah, it's a gift worth more than gold. Dad's 80 & Mom's 77, so it's not a gift that will be repeatable forever.

We are done with our room renovation, and will move back in tomorrow, and enjoy relaxing and restoring order and sanity to our lives, and that's about all I care to get this year! :)

If Santa isn`t bringing my Ma home, on her feet, and able to talk again I don`t want anything except health for the rest of the family.

Anything will do me... i'm not fussy, I'm that really hard person to buy for, typically I want nothing and as Sasquach perfectly said I just want family and friends to be healthy and well.

I am actually in the process of making my wife a christmas list for myself, so everyone will quit bugging me!!!!:)

I am hard to buy for so it takes me awhile to make up a list that they can use!! For the most part I always request computer parts or some kind of fancy gadgetry that they are too firmiliar with, so I tend to get more gift cards then anything, since they are scared they won't buy me the right thing!!

But that's ok...I like shopping for toys for myself!!!:)

No eyeware ---- had one eye lasik 12 years ago. Just that I tend to squint to see small objects. And the lovely frau suggested a larger monitor. I couldn't say No. Just need to make sure the thing works for all uses. Gaming, net, etc.

Hmm, sounds like you got the same DVD box set I have. I'm just wanting Season 2 since I haven't seen the cliffhanger ep from Season 1. If I don't get that, then I guess I'll have to go to Sam's Club and buy it, if it's still there. :)

I honestly don't know what I'm getting so I'll find out more later. Probably get a British television box set or some kind of series I like.

For what I want, unfortunately the one I really would like to have won't be available until February 14 (or at least that's what is being announced). The Doctor Who New Series 1 Box Set (Region 1)! Course I found out what Amazon called the "Beginning Collection" will be available March 28 which is secondary. Honestly, I'd be happy with any DVDs with the first two Doctors apart from the two DVDs I already have. :)

OK, I just got off the Dell site after ordering a 24" monitor. Looked to be the best deal I could get. Now to wait for the 3-5 day shipping.

My husband and I treated each other to a new microwave in the sales on Black Friday, so we agreed that was our christmas gift to each other.

Having said that I've been out and bought all sorts for him which I'm not going to list. He knows I like MGs and he just might check it out himself one of these days :)

I'm not expecting anything for Christmas except a relaxing time with the kids and their significant others :D

Actually I bought a flight ticket (round-trip, of course) to Minn for my significant other. Not so she would be gone, but the smile on her face was my Christmas (can I say Christmas instead of Holiday) present. She will visit her bio
family. Actually I am easy to buy for.........any tool or electronic toy, regardless how small, is fine with me. BTW, D3 you are correct on all accounts re: Dell. Are we going to have to speak gibberish to get service? Actually, after all these years (with my Ozark lisp) I am still having trouble with english.

My wife and I treated ourselves to a DVD camcorder. I've been using it, it is quite nice. I especially enjoy scoffing at Sony, who said it isn't Mac compatible.

    My Powerbook says otherwise :D

Between that and iMovie, I'm content. :D

I was in Best Buy tonight looking for some old movies my folks would like (Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, etc.) and stumbled on The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus, on 16 CDs. Merry Christmas to me. :D

The one I couldn't EVER watch without crying tears of laughter was "The Demised Parrot" sketch. Too much.

Man, you are in for some fun.

I love that sketch! I had a parrot when I was in England, so it frequently got quoted in our house :)

@Roger....we got a stainless, but it was an Emerson. Gradually doing my whole kitchen appliances in black/stainless. Doesn't show the dirty fingerprints like white ;)

Speaking of Monty Python stuff ~ I just myself the DVD of the Life of Brian. Just finished watching it, LoL.

"What did he say? I can't hear a thing!"
"I think it was "Blessed are the Cheese makers"."
"Aha, what's so special about the Cheese makers?"
    "Well. obviously it wasn't meant to be taken literally;
it refers to any manufacturer of cheese products."

AH, the ol' Parrot sketch (from when even I was young).

    Yup, a classic! :D

I'll no doubt be laughing until the end of February, unless I get greedy and have a Monty Python marathon. Even the DVD menus have a Monty Python flavor.

I'm not getting anything. Not real worried about it... just alittle disappointed because i had originally had a big holiday planned with someone - but i'm much more happy that he's gone.
