Chrome And Windows Mail

    When I click on a link, the Chrome icon blinks for me to click on it in order to open the link. That seems odd.
    I thought when clicking the link it should either directly open to the site or it would stay within the body of the mail.
    I have reset Mail to no avail and have important folders so did not reinstall Mail. I have reinstalled Chrome.
    Should the icon in the taskbar blink in order for a link to open?
