Anyone have thoughts on how long the notice will continue on the first instance of opening Chrome? No biggie, just curious about it.

I think it will display the notice if you have flash active up until the date the support ends.

I'll turn flash off then and back on only if/when needed. Thanks.

Since Adobe is killing off flash by the end of 2020, more and more sites no longer use it. I doubt that you'll miss it turned off.

It started when chrome updated to Version 76.0.3809.100 that's when I first noticed it.

Right new Google is automatically set to ask everytime I need flash player and there are still some sites that require me to turn flash player on. What are they replacing flash player with to make graphics and video's run on a website, and would it require a plug in?

Flash Player will hopefully be replaced by HTML5.

Yes, Flash is being replaced by HTLML5. For example, Youtube used to use Flash. Now it uses HTML5 which is the next standard. But some old sites will still require flash and you will be able to download it at https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/.
