Chrome Is Blocking Some Tumblr Pages.

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me, I hope I came to the right thread? I am having issues with Chrome connecting to some Tumblr blogs. I have checked all of my settings in Chrome and my internet options and the website is not in any block or restricted category, I have also tried Incognito mode and cleared cache and cookies. Here's the thing, some of the Tumblr blogs load fine and I can browse, others don't. Some transfer me to the Tumblr homepage others just give me a white blank page, or as seen in the image supplied, and it is not the blogs having issues themselves because I can access them via other browsers.

I have checked the security and privacy content settings in Chrome and there is no block for that site either. It doesn't even matter if the address bar says 'Not secure' because again some blogs on Chrome say this and I can still browse without an issue. I have even looked to see if I needed to update Chrome but it says it is up-to-date. I have searched all over the net for a fix, I have seem some things about SSL and HTTP:// but still cannot find a solution. The other thing I did try was logging out of my Chrome account and accessing the blogs that way but again some of them worked and some of them didn't, so I am at a loss at what is the issue and I am sure I am overlooking something, so I really hope someone here can point me in the right direction for a fix.

 

what tumblr page are you trying to view and I will try at my end as I use google chrome.

I appreciate the reply, but I have already tested that the blogs work via other browsers and had a friend check via their Chrome browser. There must be something I am missing in some settings somewhere, I did think it was just my account but even logged out I get the same issue, I've even contacted the support forums for Chrome but nobody has replied their either and it's been nearly a week now.

 

Just throwing this out there to confirm similar issues I noticed over this weekend. My son brought my attention to his frustration with YouTube and the right-hand side 'suggested videos' not appearing, leaving only blank white tiles in their place. The fact that this issue is so closely related, not to mention the description alone triggered my recollection of such a minor incident (perhaps less than minor... lets say minuscule when it comes to my little boy's complaints) ... leads me to believe it isn't just some setting you're missing within Chrome's settings.

I'd be willing to wager Chrome pushed out a buggy update or something. In case you were not aware, there are services that run in the background which automatically check for and download any updates, patches, or changes to the Chrome browser. Although there are only two reports of this particular issue, I bet its somewhat widespread and caused on Chrome's end.
