Chrome Remote Desktop Issue

Just download and installed Chrome Remote Desktop on 2 different Win 7 laptops, and have the same issue on both systems.

When I go to "Enable Remote Connections", which I understand is the first step, neither system recognizes my typing. In other words, I can't even enter a password, much less confirm it. When positioned in the enter box, the vertical line keeps flashing and doesn't recognize my typing. Never seen anything like it. Obviously there is nothing wrong with my keyboards, because I'm using one of the laptops writing this post.

I've deleted the app, re-downloaded and started it a couple of times on both systems. Have also re-booted a few times after the install.

Any ideas?

 

Solved. I feel like a dummy . It was looking for a "digital" passcode. I was entering a password with letters and 1 number... which did show up as dot when I kept trying to type the whole password. Hard to believe I've been using a home computer since the mid 1980s .
