Does anybody have any experience with this program? My college has made everyone install this in order to access the internet. I installed it. It continuously says my "virus definitions are out of date". It supposedly allows me to log on temporarily to access the internet to update the definitions. BUT when I choose "update now" (I have AVG free edition), AVG will not update because it cannot access the internet. What a mess! Any suggestions? I talked to the "computer help desk" at school....guess what no help! They say I have to install their McAfree Virus...which I did...but it doesn't help. It still says the virus definitions are out of date. I then attempted to update the McAfree, it says "definitions are updated", but alas the Clean Access Agent still says "virus definitions are out of date". Any suggestions????

Not sure if this will help (probably what it told ya)
Also make sure you do not have more than one anti virus installed!

AntiVirus Failure. UCI Residential Network Services provides McAfee AntiVirus free to all Housing Residents for Windows XP and 2000. It is required that all PCs connected to the campus network be running AntiVirus software. Other allowed Anti-Virus clients include McAfee, AVG and Trend Micro AntiVirus, however, limited support is provided. If the user’s system fails the check for current AntiVirus software, the user is provided a download for McAfee AntiVirus and will be asked to simply remove the old program.

Microsoft Windows Patch Failure. If the user’s system fails the check for current critical Operating System patches, the user is instructed to click on the URL for the Microsoft Windows update site and follow the instructions.

Thank you. I finally got someone from the help desk at school that at least made some sense. He said that CCA doesn't recognize AVG (free edition) as a credible virus program because it is not a commercial program. So I'm to disable AVG and reinstall McAfree. He also said to disable Zone Alarm and the XP firewall as they have a firewall built in the school's system and the ZA and XP may not allow CCA to connect.
