Trying to setup a gateway-gateway VPN tunnel between two Cisco PIX 506 series devices. The current configs will only allow users to use DNS properly in one direction. From PIX B to PIX A in this case. Also noticed when making a PPTP connection to PIX A the connection does not get a DNS server; and when making a PPTP connection to PIX B the connection does not get a default gateway. What part of the configuration is responsible for assigning the session's IP information?

See the attached document which shows the results of IPCONFIG /ALL when connected to either PIX device via PPTP.

    Please advise... :cool

first off, I know very little about cisco IOS, But I do have to telnet in the these same type PIX to manage accounts. I strongly feel this is a setup issue on the PIX itself. I watch our Sr. admin set these up all the time & I know it is time consuming & NOT easy. I know that's not much help, but it's where I would start. (we use 501's, When I'm at work tomorrow, I'll connect & look at the settings to compare to what you are seeing)
