why do i think this is going to be like everquest only better

read some user reviews and they say its fun but plain and repetative.....so im unsure if i should shoot for it

Playing since about 4 weeks before beta ended. IMHO, not a big MMORPG fan, they are all similar, at the root, its leveling up for more toys and a lot of people who should get out more. This is no different, but the concept and storyline as well as a lot of other things, like teaming up and creating Supergroups makes it fun. So, instead of some made up story (which I never get) like most MMORPG this has a cool feel to it. Lots to learn, but fun. Im level 12 right now, most of my group plays more so they are 14-20. If you play, let me know you can join our Supergroup, theres a thing called sidekick, any player up higher can sidekick you so you can fight one level below. So, if I sidekick you, can fight at level 11 meaning you will be level 5 in no time That helped me get here because I play less then they do. We also have a private voice chat channel to hook up with other players so were mainly chatting voice rather then text in game.

PM me if you are interested, we would love to have you! Ill get your user name, give you mine, get you added to the group and my friends list. You will need to do training to get into the actual game first.

I've been playing it as well since "open" beta. I have yet to be in any group of any sort so I reserve judgement on that part of the game. But solowise, it gets a little tiresome. Mostly I have been trying out every skillset I could think of trying that looked fun.

I can see the game getting old after a while, but it is plenty of fun now (and more fun than many MMORPGs I have paid for) so it is worth playing in my book.

I'm on the Justice server, which seems to be the most populated as well.

The thing I enjoy the most in CoH is the freedom of movement allowed. I got tired of being stuck on the ground (Star Wars Galaxies, Final Fantasy XI) and it is nice to be able to jump and fly. Chasing a guy up the fire escape to the roof and over to the next building is quite a kick.

Oh yeah, god point, were on the Virtue server, got to be there for our group.

You really should team up, it makes leveling a bit easier.

I would like to team up, but so far I've only been experimenting with the different classes. Once I settle on one I'll get more serious about it. Maybe I'll roll over to Virtue and give you a shout sometime...

Cool, glad to see more folks playing. I'm on Victory server (I think) after some rl friends got me to play.....can't seem to get past level 5 before I get bored....mainly because the folks who talked my into playing are NEVER on. Maybe I'll create a character on Virtue and give you all a shout.

Sweet, we need a tanker, Excelsior- is online now, though you will need to get to 10 solo according to the user guide. There are some lower level people who can help you and I can sidekick you here and there to bump you up. Excelsior- will give you info for voice chat where its easy to join our City Of heroes channel and talk to people who can assist you.

Is the "-" at the end of his name actually part of his name? If so, no wonder I can't add him to my friends list. LOL

Anyway, I think I hit 4 last night just goofing around. Hopefully I'll be on later tonight and grab a few more levels. I'll send either you or him a tell in game when I get on.

I'm doing my best to get to level 10, but I keep jumping servers. You see, you guys are on Virtue, and I have some rl friends on Victory. So usually I log on Victory, and if none of my buds are on, I log on Virtue.

So I have been hearing you don't need to be level 10 to get into a Super Group, only to create one. All this time I thought you had to be 10. Can someone tell me if you can join one any time or not? That would be nice.

You can join anytime, sooner the better because you can be sidekicked and we can help you level up faster.
