I will be getting Win10 64 Bit Home.
    But I love Win7. 64 Bit Layout.

So I will be using Windows Classic Shell.
I will have 8. GB of System Memory on my Win10 64 Bit Home System.
What does Window Classic Shell take to Run?

    Classic Shell = good choice!

Open Shell = not so sure

I am thinking of switching to Classic Shell and am wondering:

    1. Can somebody compare the two for me?
    2. How do I downgrade?

So what is stopping you from imaging what you have now and installing Classic Shell, so you can revert if you don't like it? You can't be serious asking others to compare it for you

You're right. Now, two more (stupid) questions:

    1. How do I back up my old shell?
    2. Where can I get a copy of Classic Shell?

You don't, you backup your Windows system. You need an external drive to hold the image file and imaging software to create the image file and to restore it if necessary. For ease of use you could try Aomei Backupper.

If imaging the system sounds too difficult then you do have the option to simply install Classic Shell and see how it goes. If you don't get on with it then your only option would be to reinstall Win 10.

I prefer the Classic Shell over the Open Shell, but Open Shell is good enough for me. I'd rather not downgrade without some assurance. :)

Can't help you there as I do not use any third party shell at all.

I didn't need to reinstall Windows 10 when I uninstalled Classic Shell. I just uninstalled it and everything ran okay. Just thought the OP would like to know...
