Uninstall Firefox, then open Windows Explorer and navigate to this directory C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox where %USER% is your user account, delete the entire folder. Now install Firefox.

Sometimes an uninstall will leave a folder with some files. Maybe one of these files contains your previous settings. Make sure the Firefox Folder is deleted. Other than that, try a Registry Cleaner to get rid of any remaining registry entries. Bazza

Bazza is right Firefox is leaving a folder behind when you unistall it.

    Do the following:

    1. Uninstall Firefox using Add or Remove Programs from the Control Panel.

    2. Open Windows Explore navigate to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox <--- Delete the Entire folder

    3. navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox <--- Delete the Entire folder

    NOTE: %USER%
is the user account you are deleting the folder from. Delete that folder from all user accounts.

    4. Install Firefox

S_P_D to the rescue, again. :) Thanks for the detailed instructions. Better than my theoretical explanation. It is always better to get the full info from someone who uses Firefox. That's why we come to MG. Bazza
