I am getting ready to load Adobe's Production Studio and wanted to optimize my computer as much as possible before starting so I scanned and cleaned my registry with Registry Mechanic. I had something on the order of 685 things that needed fixen.

I went through quite a bit of the problems, but it was all a little Greek to me, so I went ahead and cleaned and optimised the registry. My system is noticably faster and evrything seemed to work EXCEPT...

Now my CPU is running at about 75% with the MSKSrvr.exe using about 50% and the System is jumping up and down around 25%. If I launch Mozilla Thunderbird it seems to work OK, however if I end the MSKSrvr.exe process, the CPU returns to about 1 or 2% usage but Thunderbird can't reach the local host [although Firefox seems to be unaffected]

What is the MSKSrvr.exe? How Can I found out which registry key affected/cuased this? What should I do?

Thanks for the link Franklin. I followed the instructions as suggested and found 214 eml messages that I removed but it didn't make a difference. This problem appears to be a seperate issue from my registry cleaning. I restored the registry and I'm still having the same problem.

I'm going to start a new thread specifically regarding the MSKSrvr.exe.

    Thanks

I have no idea why it would cause that though.
