    Hi asher!
You are right that SP2 contains MS updates which preceded it. However, if you recently formatted and installed a windows XP SP2, where did all the updates come from? Did you go to MS to download them after the clean install with SP2? If so, they are all new and you need to leave them there. If your system is working, it's good not to mess with it. There is a button at the top of the page in add/remove programs which says "show updates" which you can tick or untick. If you don't want to look at them in your add/remove programs, just untick this box.
    :)

Even with SP2 M$ has a lot of security updates. I went through it. The MS website has explaination for each and every one of them, but I don't have the link handy.

Guys,he want to delete the uninstall files with CCleaner. You can do this,BUT REMEMBER,only if you have not much space on your HD,cos if you delete them you can't uninstall the hotfixes if you have problem.

SP2 includes all hotfixes from SP1, DO NOT remove them from Add/Remove or you remove the actual hotfix off the PC, leaving you vunerable to whatever that hotfix fixed.

There are folders in C:\Windows ( $NtUninstallKBxxxxxxx ~ xxx = number of hotfix ) that do hold the backup/uninstaller files of the hotfixes, just incase you need to uninstall one due to a compatabilty issue, but it can be deleted but you loose the option of uninstalling any hotfixes in that list of yours, but this is not the same as removing them from Add/Remove.

    Personally I would leave them.
