I am running Windows XP on a DELL Dimension 3000 When I try to delete items from my start up menu I get the message "Access Denied You need to log on using an Administrator Account". I am logged in as an admisistrator...Any suggestions?

    Welcome to Major Geeks.
MSCONFIG is not the only way,or preferred way.
Get and install a copy of WinPatrol. Can alter Startup List from it.
