clearing old network?

I'm trying to reset-up my home network. i changed a few computers and wanted to put them on my network.No problem...but some of my other coputer still "see" the removed computers in a work group. Is there a way to just clear everythingand just start over? Like all shared folders,printers,workgroup computers...everything? I just want to start all over again....Oh and ber able to use that PaulyChat from major geeks Download page. Anyone use that yet? Will it work over a home network?

Just one more question...I'm going to Cable internet from phone net...Can i use my wireless i had from the phone line to the cable?

 

sorry it took so long to answer.This worked and it didn't. One won't delete or anything.These are listed under workgroup computers. Sometimes some are listed and sometimes there not. even when there all on and online. Also is there a way i can password protect each computer? Like the one comp that runs ME It has to have a password to acces any shared files. Out of the Five computers/laptop i have in home , I want to access them all ( check up on my daughters) and then I have a laptop and home computer that i want to restrict access to just each other or pass protect them. Sorry if this drags on so much. The closet computer guy is 20+ miles from my home and wants to charge a arm and a leg to come out and di this all for me. Yes i live in BFE!!Also what do you think is the best wireless brand. I need a little range ,i like to go down by the river and work on my laptop which is about 30-45 yrd from my house. The bellsouth wireless woul just barrely work only if i wouldset the modem/router outside the window and point it toward the river.



I'm guessin that ALL workgroups must start with a M??
