Click on something, get an hourglass and nothing happens

When I go on Yahoo's fantasy football page, when I click on something, I'll get the hourglass and then nothing ever happens. I have to hit cont-alt-delete, to end task. I noticed that when the task manager comes u, it show's 100% CPU usage. Any way to stop/fix this?

 

What browser/OS are you running, and have you tried a different browser? Is that the only page that causes the problem? And, click on what - video, text links, thumbnails?

 

I'm using windows XP Home and IE 7 or 8. This seems to be the only page. Have not tried it in Mozzila, it's already a pain going to Mozzila just to use facebook. It happens when I click on regular items, like a team name or a particular player etc. I have Yahoo as my home page and this has not started except in the past 2 weeks, I run cc cleaner regularily
