Clicking Computer

My computer has been clicking for the last couple of weeks.

I have read other threads and it doesn't seem to be the hard drive - clicking stops when I mute the volume and seems to only click when I am on internet. A programme was mentioned on another thread but I don't have that programme.

I was on the internet for over an hour before clicking started to day, but it does do it most of the time.

The clicking is the same as when you left click on something to open/select it. Clicking is every 10 seconds or so.

It is annoying because my work is web-based so either I have to put up with the sound or have the volume muted the whole time.

I would appreciate any suggestions/cures!

I did see the 2008 thread - that was the programme I mentioned that I don't have (Marvell Raid Tray).

Don't suppose you know how I can find out which other piece of software might have a glitch if it is that?
