Clicking sound in XP

Does anyone know to stop the clicking sound you get whenever you click the mouse?

 

did u try under
Start/Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Sounds....
its should be somewhere in there

What about a bunch of mouse clicking noises when your not even touching the mouse??? Usually on startup but other times too.

 

Is the sound coming from the speakers or the computer case?

 

It's the same sound that is made when you click the mouse on a link. Coming from the speakers.

If you haven't secured yours computer against spyware, trojans and viruses, it's a possibility.

 

Yeah, I've done all that and more. Popups are all gone but just have a couple lingering problems.
