I am running GPU System tray client 6.23 with a Nvida GTX 295 and it runs well but if i leave it unattended (overnight) it completes the WU and sends results but then just shuts down, the logo remains in the task bar and if i hover the pointer over it all that it says is "results successfully sent"
I have shut off Windows firewall but it does not help.
    Any ideas please.

I just checked the logs and it seems to be stuck in a loop of checking and sending results, it keeps repeating this operation??

You don't have it set to "Pause when done" by mistake,do you?

Easy to click by accident on mine.
Would be nice if so simple.
Have you tried removing and reinstalling the client?

Yes i have tried that, on my other PC i re-formatted to go back to 32bit.
I run the same client and get the same result.
I just took a snapshot of my log and the last line says "pausing for 24 hours" what is that?

What got my attention was a few lines above that.

What is the story about that?

    Yup hrlow2 exactly!

Hehehe, you missed my post elsewhere Bill.;) I mentioned to underclock your 295 by %5 to start to see if that fixes it or else then knock another %5 off. Use the eVGA Precision tool(easier) or RivaTuner. If you get three errors in a row then Stanford cuts you off for 24hrs. as it's useless for all involved to continue working on that WU. I hope you see this post Bill.:p;):-D

I'm glad you have it figured out. :major

I've just installed a new 8600GT and it looks to be a nice investment @ $33.00USD free ship.

From the look of my output on this card I should avg. 1,412 in a 24 hour period, not bad set at 85% using console client.

    fold on

btw I'm using a nifty program called SpeedFan shows all my sensors and allows me to adjust the speed of my fans located by this program.(I leave all fans at 100%)
The only thing with SpeedFan I'm not sure it is exactly accurate so I did a search here on Majorgeeks and lucked out and located many more helpful programs.
