Clipart/gifs/animations

Will someone please tell me how to go to a site that isn't link after link after link.....and you still don't find any animations/clipart/gifs, just more links to supposely take you where you want to go ? Ican't find the object of my search, just more & more links to "the webs best clipart or animations", so ok, how do I actually get to them ? Freebies of course

What is the deal with those link after link clipart sites?
Do they deliver spyware and other badness?
Do you ever actually get to the clip art?

I find a better way to search for clipart is to include PSP in the search terms. You will find some beautiful art created by amateurs with Paint Shop Pro.

Just remember to download the art and serve it up fromyour own server, not from the artist's server.

 

WandaR, I don't know where you live but if you have access to PC Utilities, a UK computer magazine, edition 45, it comes with a CD containing 100,000 (yep 100,000) clipart and web graphics. Back Issues are obtainable from iain.anderson@livepublishing.co.uk. He is subscriptions and marketing manager. Please note the spelling of Iain, not IAN. Iain is the Scottish spelling. They also have a 4 x CD set of 115,000 Clipart Images at GBP 8.50, that is 8.50 Great British Pounds, plus postage, and their choice of a free CD sent with it.

PCUtilities is distributed here in Cairns, Australia and I occasionally buy a copy. The Australian distributors occasionally release a bundle of 3 old issues, and CD's, for a little more than the price of the latest issue. That is how I came across this CD. I haven't used it so cannot comment. I like PC Utilities (with CD) and PC Utilities Plus (with a DVD full of goodies) but they are expensive in OZ. I have no connection with either mag.

don't know if goldy does, but i buy every issue and its a great mag for images, being a UK resident!

 

Thanks guys. I checked out the sites Halo suggested, however I wasn't impressed with those sites either. But I did stumble across a site for "free" downloads at Lockrgnome from 'download labs' for Optimize Memory. Have any of you guys trid this or is it just another one of things that uses up your memory and doesn't do anything really other than use memory ?
