Clone Monitors- except no Video?

This is probably a combination software/hardware question but here goes:

I have my monitor set to clone the image to my TV which is hooked up through an S-Video cable. It worked fine till I updated my drivers and something reset and now I can get everything to show except Video on the TV. I have it set up this way (thanks to some previous help here) so I can watch DVD's on a larger screen from my bed.

Can anyone suggest some possible causes or fixes for this problem? I've been messing around with various resolutions and refresh rates and I can't seem to make it work. Thanks in advance fellas.

I have the same problem actually, if you play the video through windows media player then i am guessing it plays fine... right?
Thats what happens on mine anyway! all but windows media player wont show on my tv... i am thinking i may just need a new tv!

I doubt you need a new TV. Did your setup ever work? Mine worked fine till I updated drivers. Now it clones everything except video. I think it can even dupe high-end videogames no problem....

No :( - it has never been right, i am sure it has something to do with the drivers though, i am just waiting for new ones to be released and hopefully they will sort it!

I guess I'm relegated to a similar strategy.

An updated, I finally found a working solution for me. Since I really only use the TV when I'm playing a video on my monitory, If you go under the control panel (mine is Nvidia style) and look under full-screen options, and set full-screen to associate with your secondary display (that being the TV) anytime you play a video file, it will automatically fullscreen to the TV and stay windowed on the monitor.

The video plays back fine now. I think I should adjust the resolution on my monitor now too, but I'm afraid to mess with it now that it's working :D

    Hope this helps someone.
