closed path data... ??? ughhh!!!

Ulead COOL 3D's Path Editor is suppose to be able to import .wmf and .emf vector graphics.
But when I try I get an error message that reads...

"The Import command only works with closed path data. Unable to find a closed path in this file."

Can anyone suggest a way to correct this problem?
Maybe a program that will "close the path data". (whatever the heck that means)
Or steps I may be able to impliment to fix this problem.

Ulead's tutorial and help files are no help at all.

Not sure if this will help you but look at last post here, from what I can tell a closed path is an object like a circle, square, box of some sort. So last post might work. Worth a try...sorry I don't use the software so just a guess.
