Closing a program

ok simple question i think.. when i CLOSE a program .. it closes ok but it still stays in the lower right corner (of my vista laptop) like where the sound speaker icon is.. how do i stop that from happening?

 

Does it happen with everything? or just with a certain program? Usually, this only happens with a certain program, and it is caused by the program's settings; they're configured to NOT close the program, but to minimize it to the system tray (which is the technical term for the area down by the clock) instead of completely shutting it down. So, check the settings of the program and you're likely to find this setting.... if this happens with everything, or more than one or two programs, let us know and we'll try something else.

no just my cam program.. i checked all the settings and couldnt find any to configure to close it.. i know how to do that with other programs..

 

Well, when it minimizes to the system tray, can you right click the little system tray icon and select "Exit"? A pain-in-the-a** but maybe that's how that particular program is....
