I used this to program to sync my Drive with Drop Box but noticed that CloudHQ can read my files.
Is there a more secure way to back Drive up and how do I undo the set up with CloudHQ to use your system?

    Hi Peter

How much data are you backing up? is it a Image File of whole HDD or just document data? Personally I would if a whole HDD use a portable HDD and if data I use OneDrive, I have not used CloudHQ but likely with anything Google it reads your data for personalising advertising and possible fix is to de-sync https://support.cloudhq.net/how-to-disable-cloudhq-in-chrome-extension/

    Hi David
Since the post a lot occurred. That company CloudHQ showed in my account,"Free subscription" but a little chat box popped up a day later and said it is closing my account as they have no free ones and mine was in error. I wrote to the company about their lack of integrity but I am sure is was to no avail.
$10 a month is not consistent with social security level incomes.

I then went to Dropbox and had to delete 97 files then again permanently delete them. There was no select all etc. or batch remove and Cloud HQ had already been removed so there was no sync. I found no other program that could sync Drive and Drop Box; that I found amazing. Some seemed to be able to but when you got into them they eventually included CloudHQ.

**I clicked your link but and error popped up, #1006. I could not open it.

To enlighten you, I may be on thin ice so wanted my wife to be able to use the phone and machine. The easiest was is to get a Chromebook so she can sync Drives with the Chromebook and phone. She cannot handle Windows and does not need more than the Chromebook can do. It has a small offline partition .
I hate to move towards Google but for only her it is necessary.

As long as I can, I will use Windows and maintain it as always.

I am satisfied that Google servers will preserve data, so currently Google drive data[97 files and folders]is on the servers, and Memo is backed up to Samsung..

I have delicate information on 2 flash drives and on a print out to refer to.- passwords and and the like. Nothing sensitive is on line

One thing I may do, which I would have to repeat each week due to lack of synchronization, is to download the 97 files to a compressed zip file I would put on the desktop. This way it would update and backup the files in drive weekly and also be in Macrium when I image. It is a pain maintaining so much but she really is not at all digitally capable. Remember she is an artist and her brain operates that way.

She would email, surf and the likes. Nothing the Chromebook could not do.

I hope this helps you get the idea of my situation and thank you for your reply,
    Peteer

    I took a new route;
I download Drive, then back it up with my docs to flash drive and also when I image it is included. I do it once week.
No sync but have a backup

I now use TakeOut. This way I can copy what is needed .
    Thanks for the recommendation,
    Regards
    Peter
