I have had problems booting up my old thinkpad. I did some research, and most people think its the cmos battery, which is cheap. I would like to know how I would change it out.

In the past, I thought that I had these problems because I did not turn my TP on for a long time. By leaving it on, it seem to fix the problem, but not now.

I get the following mother board errors

    DEV 001
    ERR 0091
    FRU 3610

Here is the cmos battery I might need. I think I might need to replace the main batter after that.

    Thanks, Whicky1978

My thinkpad is a Pentium II, and it does lose track of the time and date.

Wow I really this computer. I searched IBM Thinkpad and my username and came across this old thread. I was trying to remember which Thinpad I had. some consider the 600 to be one of the toughest ever made:)
