CnC Generals

I got my new system awhile back PCI-Express Video card . And i cannot run CnC Generals or CnC Generals: Zero Hour, i read this is because of PCI-Expresss video cards. What happens is a load up the game start playing and fps lag starts being less then 1 frame per second... it will lock up. i know my X800 XT can handle this easily and i eve put all setting down to low and it still lags.. my brothers 1.6ghz P4 128mb videocard can run this and my 3.2ghz 256mb PCI-express system cant . any suggestions?

 

Can we have your full system specs please, and have you tried updating the drivers from the ATI website?

 

tried using ATI's most recent drives and Omega drivers no luck.

Intel 3.2ghz (540)
Abit AA8-Duramax (i925xe)
2x 512mb DDR2 533mhz ram
ATi-X800 XT Pci Express 256MB
Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Digital
Windows XP Pro SP2
160GB Sata Harddrive

btw i have Direct X 9.0c

 

In case you didn't: update your game to the last patch.If that wouldn't work, re-install the game. and another thing, you can try taking another ATI card and try it instead of yours then you will know if its the VGA card or your installation.(not sure but you can try)
