CNET - bah, humbug!

    CatT I can't follow the rules

    tried to DL a 6M file just now, and instead it gave me a 400k "installer file" which then served to DL the 6M file in a separate step.

    i hate this, and would normally go looking for a free-standing copy elsewhere. fortunately, i rarely encounter it except when trying to get MS stuff (WMP notorious for doing the 2-step...). but is this now the default for ALL cnet DLs?!

    in which case, i'm headed back to tucows!
