cobian vs allway sync (backup vs sync)

Hello...

Before implemented backing up procedures for a client, they have had a hard drive failure on their NAS and lost pretty much everything.

Im about to set them up another NAS but also probably a 2.5" external to backup or sync to every day before they leave the office (or store in a fireproof safe onsite).

Interested in peoples opinions of cobian backup vs allway sync for the 'backing up'....or in its purest form, backuping up data vs syncing it to another device??

Im edging towards the syncing purely becuase the backup device will have the same 'neat' file structure as the original, instead of heaps of horrible folders of the incremental backups...??

They would never need to go back to an old version of file.

And any feedback on NAS and ext 2.5" combination alternatives is appreciated too!!

I'll take it nobody here "Sync" nor "Backs Up" files roflmao

I would NOT recommend "Allway Sync" there limitation for personal use of 40,000 file reads are pathetic.

The above was just over 7 days just trying to work it out... Now all it does is NAG me to purchase the pro version... "No Freaking Way"

40,000 file limitation within their "License Agreements" SUCKS

So I'm still looking for an alternative FREE Sync / backup program
