The office network has two printers. There was a power outage overnight on Saturday. Everything is back up and working.

The problem is, Word will not print. Both networked printers will print any other type of doc, except when trying to print a Word doc, the following message appears:

"Word experienced an error trying to open the file"

    or something like that.

Mind you, this is second hand info. I currently not in the office. It actually sounds to me like they can't even open a Word doc, let alone print one. They've tried multiple Word docs...all with the same result.

Is there something in Users and Groups that needs to be re-set or something. I don't know if the power outage is related or a coincidence.

    What should I check?

Thanks, this is a CODE RED!!! So any info as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

What word version if its from OfficeXP or 2003 ( maybe on some of the older ones ) upwards try a repair install... the repair function can be found in the Help menu listed as Detect and Repair... have the Office CD to hand.
