I dont know a ton about web programming, just a little html so any hlep would be great. I'm looking for a way to have a link on a blog and then when the user clicks the link it will open a small window (like 300x300) and display text. I'm looking to put my soccer team's like status of wins losses and news on there but since its a blog I can't make multiple pages. So instead it would have to be a small popup window. Thank you for any help. Oh and it can be in any language as long as I can just copy and paste the code into the blogs template and be able to change it easily.

I just happened to be on www.web-source.net and found a code that mey help you. It's little and you don't need another page. Put your text where it says 'YOUR MESSAGE' and you're good to go. Don't worry about putting a URL in the tag. No one will be able to really utilize the link. Here's the code:

    <a href="" onMouseOver="alert('YOUR MESSAGE');return true;">Place link text here</a>

    Hope that helps you. :)

It worked but I need something that is an actual window. Not like an alert window. Something that is like 300x300 and needs to be activated by clicking a link.

If you can't have multiple pages, how will you get a window to display text? Hmmm...I'll have to think about this.

I found a thread in another forum site that may help you. Sure, they discuss JavaScript, but I think you'll get it. If that doesn't help, what about a .pdf file? I have no experience with blogging to know if you can use .pdf's. That's all I've got for now.

I think you should level up from a blog to an actual website. You can store as many pages as you're allowed to. Here's a link to what I use:

    AngelFire

It's free and you can store up to 20MB worth of information. They also provide example page layouts, images, and JavaScript codes and instructions on how to set up the codes. For the HTML-illiterate, there is a very simple and step-by-step setup of your index page. Phew. That's it. I most certainly hope that helps you. ;)

Yeah I have an account with Geocities which offers like exactly the same as that but the reason I did the blog is because I needed something to write in that would be quick. I'm learning ASP right now and I"ve just signed up for a free hosting plan that will let me load ASP Files on there and it has 30mb of space so I'm prob. gonna use that. And maybe if I get good at ASP I can make my own blog thing where all I have to do is type in what I want in a textarea. Thats probably my biggest goal for learning ASP right now. Thanks for the help btw! You've been a great help. If I need any more help I'm sure you can surely do it and vice versa.

Thanks! I'm not too familiar with ASP, just HTML and a little JavaScript.

I'm not sure but you might be able to upload more than just asp files. I know you can upload html files

I already have a web provider, but if I need more space I'll be sure to check that out.
