codec question

    hi, does anyone know how to find the codec of an avi film that is not on a pc, i open files with g-spot and all it says for this one (and a few others) is '180 codecs installed',
    i have k-light mega codec pack, theorica divx codecs and wm9 codecs 9x installed

    in G-spot click file then browse for the movie on your HD and it will display the codecs installed you need or the ones missing
