Is there a standard for color coding wires? Is white always neutral or ground? Do the other colors have any meaning per se? I have some connections where I have two wires, neither labeled, and one needs to go to a ground connector.

Is there a helpful website that has this type of information that I could reference and use for other questions?

Thanks in advance for any help ...

Black is usually ground in electronic appliances. But not always. If you want to be really sure, get a schematic from the manufacturer of the equipment.

If you're talking about 120v. North American house wiring, black is hot. Green is ground. White is neutral.
