color matters

    my grandpas gateway is always dark when i reformat,its windows...i need to change the colors in it,ive done it once but cant remember how...can someone please tell me its windows xp

    Are you looking for a different set of standard colours? If so try



    • right click the desktop
    • choose "properties"
    • click the tab named "appearance"
    • Look in the dropdown named "Color sheme" for colors you like.
    • click "apply"
    (Note: you can use the up and down arrow keys to go through the list of available schemes very quickly)
