Combi Router-Modem & dsl 16,000

Hi
My ISP and telephone company are offering dsl 16,000 and will provide a combined router/modem for this which can be used either with or without cable and which has places for 4 computers. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these two pieces of equipment being combined? Is it common?

Also, I've heard that some computers have trouble with dsl 16,000. Does anyone have any experience here that might be helpful? Does a higher download speed require more RAM or anything?

Actually I've seen it lots, no big deal. If you need more than 4 connections a hub/switch will branch it out. The thing I'm curious about is is it also wireless?
